Getting Around

I hate taxis, HATE them. I can't afford them and I hate everything I can't afford. Don't be a posh twat and get around town like a local.

-Public transportation is a pretty big deal. Its always super easy, you can cover a lot of ground and get the feel of the city and its people. Buses, trams, and subways are absolutely amazing and usually incredibly cheap. Buy a day pass and just jet around town pretending you're a local. Buy a map too, because if you're anything like me, you will get lost about 4 times any given day.

-Walking. Oh my god how I love to walk. Walking in a new city is absolute poetry. Grab a map and just wander around. It's good to get lost, it's good to play pretend, and it's good to be a part of that city/town/village even if its just a day. If you are in a city for the first time you will most likely walk upwards of 10km in a day so wear appropriate footwear. There is nothing worse than a fucking Jessica bitching about her blisters or pinches toes.
